Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes traded Arrowhead for pitch-side seats this Mother’s Day, bringing their squad of five to CPKC Stadium. The Kansas City Current kept their undefeated streak rolling with a statement 3-0 shutout over Chicago Stars FC. While the Mahomes crew cheered from the stands, star striker Temwa Chawinga went absolutely nuclear, torching Chicago’s defense with a first-half hat trick.

The family outing capped off a packed week for the Mahomes household. Brittany recently got candid about battling a painful wrist condition, while Patrick continues rehabbing his knee this offseason as he gears up for another NFL campaign with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Brittany Mahomes and Patrick Mahomes turned Mother’s Day into a full-on family tailgate, bringing daughters Sterling Skye and Golden Raye, plus son Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes III. To back the Kansas City Current during their clash against the Chicago Stars FC.

The Current and Brittany dropped a joint Instagram post showing the Mahomes starting lineup decked out in KC Current gear, locked in from the stands at CPKC Stadium. The caption read: “Another Mahomes Mother’s Day 🥹 Co-owners @brittanylynne & @patrickmahomes enjoying a dub at home 🥰.”

And “dub” was the perfect call. Temwa Chawinga absolutely cooked Chicago’s defense, needing just 27 first-half minutes to complete a hat trick and put the match into blowout territory before halftime. By the time the reigning NWSL MVP checked out in the 77th minute, the game was already deep in garbage time.

Brittany has been part of Patrick’s corner since their high school days and has built her own lane in the sports world. After playing pro soccer in Iceland, she became one of women’s sports’ loudest advocates. She also helped bring major investment and visibility to the NWSL through her ownership of the KC Current.

The Mahomes duo joined the club’s ownership group in December 2020. But they really moved the chains for women’s soccer last year with a reported $275 million investment in a new professional league.

Even with the constant spotlight that comes with being sports royalty in Kansas City, the couple has stayed focused on building a grounded family environment for their kids. Sterling Skye arrived in February 2021, Bronze joined the roster in late 2022. And Golden Raye rounded out the family’s newest trio in January 2025.

Earlier in the week, Patrick also had some father-son reps with Bronze at Kauffman Stadium while watching the Kansas City Royals take on the Detroit Tigers. The Chiefs’ superstar reportedly owns a one percent stake in the Royals organization and still keeps one foot in the baseball world thanks to his family roots in the sport.
