The Arizona Cardinals have a new head coach. Chances are, they’ll have a new starting quarterback in 2026 too, likely spelling the end of Kyler Murray‘s career in Arizona. If new Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur does decide he wants his own hand-picked QB, who could it be?

The popular pick continues to point to the Cardinals chasing after top free agent quarterback Malik Willis. The dual-threat QB who’s spent the past two seasons in Green Bay could be an ideal fit for LaFleur’s offense, especially since he spent the past two seasons in Green Bay playing for Mike’s brother Matt.

Recently, Essentially Sports’ Tony Pauline revealed that the sources he’s spoken with “believe Willis ends up with the Cardinals.”

Willis likely won’t be re-signing in Green Bay. Instead, he’ll likely receive some offers that give him a chance to emerge as a starting quarterback, and Arizona would certainly fit the bill. However, the Cardinals likely won’t be the only team that chases after the 26-year-old who went 2-1 as a starter in Green Bay.

Teams view Willis as a player worth taking a bigger chance on after he completed a ridiculous 78.7% of his passes for 972 yards, 6 TDs, and no interceptions as a member of the Packers.

The questions are, how much money will teams be willing to pay for a player with six starts? And how many teams will get involved in a market that doesn’t feature many high-end options at the QB position?
