Many of the top free agents have already signed new contracts this offseason. However, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still other good deals to be found. The Arizona Cardinals may have just found one.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Cardinals agreed to a one-year, $2.5 million contract with wide receiver/return specialist Devin Duvernay on Sunday. An All-Pro as a returner, Duvernay has bounced around the past few seasons, but he spent 2025 with the Bears, where he caught two of his five targets for 26 yards and a first down. He was far more impactful as a returner.

Duvernay returned 21 punts for 231 yards. As a kick returner, Duvernay returned 40 opportunities for a new career-high 1,069 yards in 2025. His 26.7 yards per kick return average ranked 11th in the NFL, and he ranked fifth in kick return yards.

Now 28, the two-time Pro Bowler hasn’t had an All-Pro or Pro Bowl season since 2022. Yet, he’s clearly still a big factor in the return game, and he’ll look to continue that success in Arizona next season.

After arriving as the 92nd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, Duvernay spent the first four seasons of his career with the Ravens. He played for the Jaguars in 2024, the Bears in 2025, and next up will be the Cardinals.
