NFL world reacts to Lamar Jackson becoming just the second ever unanimous MVP

Joe Maiorana-USA TODAY Sports

For just the second time in NFL history, we have a unanimous MVP. To nobody’s surprise, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson won the award on Saturday, receiving every single vote.

Tom Brady (2010) was the first and only other player to achieve this.

Jackson’s 2019 campaign was legendary. He smashed NFL records left and right, piling up 4,333 yards and 43 touchdowns from scrimmage. In the process, he redefined what it means to play the quarterback position at this level while ripping off memorable highlights on a weekly basis.

And he did all this at such a tender young age, too.

As news of his unanimous MVP spread on social media, the NFL world responded with enthusiasm.
