NFL world reacts to 49ers trading for Trent Williams

It has finally happened. The Washington Redskins have traded seven-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Trent Williams.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Washington has moved the future Hall of Famer to the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers for a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and a third rounder next year.

This has been a long time coming for Williams. The 31-year-old tackle sat out all of last season while in the midst of a contract stalemate. He has been on the trade block for some time now. Williams now reunites with former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco.

Needless to say, the NFL world had its reactions to Saturday’s blockbuster trade.
