The Philadelphia Eagles stunned the NFL world selecting former Alabama and Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts with their second-round draft pick.

Hurts was selected 53rd overall in a move that ESPN’s Adam Schefter foreshadowed.

As you likely know already, the Eagles have quite a prominent young quarterback on the roster already in Carson Wentz. He was a costly addition a few years back when Philly traded up to No. 2 in order to land him out of North Dakota State.

However, since then he’s struggled to stay healthy.

When Wentz is on, he’s clearly one of the better young quarterbacks in the league. So it’s not surprising that Eagles fans were going bonkers over their team’s selection.
