NFL stars speak out on Antonio Brown, Smith-Schuster drama

The NFL world has been full of petty during an otherwise slow part on the league’s schedule.

It started with Oakland Raiders receiver Antonio Brown calling out his former teammate with the Pittsburgh Steelers, JuJu Smith-Schuster. Pittsburgh’s top returning receiver then responded by taking the high road before Brown once again went after his colleague Monday afternoon.

This has not been lost on players around the league. That includes Houston Texans star receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who had this to say on social media Monday.

“Hate to see us tearing each other apart when the world do that enough,” Hopkins wrote.

This comes at about the same time that New York Jets running back Le’Veon Bell, seemingly responding to Brown, shared a conversation he had with former teammate James Conner.

We have to give these stars credit. At a time when Brown is making an utter fool of himself, they are stepping up to give their more balanced opinions.

In a nutshell, this is what social media should be about. Rather than tearing one another apart, how about we build each other up? After all, there’s already enough divisiveness in the world.
