The 2020 NFL schedule was released during a marathon three-hour event on NFL Network Thursday evening.

Though, we were able to find out the schedule beforehand as all 32 of the league’s teams took to social media to announce their individual slates.

The season will kickoff with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans on “Thursday Night Football.” It will conclude with the Denver Broncos hosting the Tennessee Titans in the second of two “Monday Night Football” contests.

In between, the upstart Arizona Cardinals will travel to Northern California to take on the defending NFC champion San Francisco 49ers.

In what can’t be considered too much of a surprise, the two teams that met up in last season’s Super Bowl boast the largest point spreads of the opening week.

Kansas City comes in as 9.5-point favorites over Houston while the 49ers are 8.5-point favorites over the Cardinals.

Personally, I would be weary of the 49ers at -8.5 against the Cardinals. Arizona added All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins in a trade with the above-mentioned Texans back in March. It also gave San Francisco a ton of issues despite losing both games last season.

Given the Texans’ struggles under head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien this offseason, Kansas City could very well be a safe bet.
