NFL prospect Lonnie Johnson says Seahawks put him in a staring contest

Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Interviews are an absolutely critical aspect of why the NFL Scouting Combine is so important, yet some teams ask some pretty dumb questions and have prospects do some pretty weird things during those interviews.

Kentucky product Lonnie Johnson, a cornerback, shared one of those things with Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. He says the Seattle Seahawks put him in a staring contest lasting “15, 16 seconds” during his formal interview with them.

This isn’t the first instance where a staring contest has been part of an official combine interview, in case you were wondering.
