NFL player caddies for buddy during golf tournament

Tennessee Titans kicker Ryan Succop might be best known for being “Mr. Irrelevant” as the last player selected during the 2009 NFL Draft.

Though, he’s etched out a nice little career for himself in seven seasons in the league.

Instead of deciding to hang out in Cancun drinking margaritas before he joins the Tennessee Titans in training camp later this summer, the kicker spent this past weekend caddying for his buddy, Wesley Bryan, at the Web.com Nashville Golf Open.

Not only this, Succop actually helped his friend to a top-10 finish in the tourney.

Bryan did sit atop the leader board after posting a 63 in the opening round. Unfortunately, he dropped to outside the top 10 after putting up a 76 on the second day. At that point, Bryan’s caddie decided some words of wisdom were needed.

“He really helped keep me from blowing up on the back nine,” Bryan said, via The Tennessean. “I accept full responsibility for (Friday). He had no way, shape or form anything to do with the implosion on the back nine.”

That’s some pretty awesome friendship action right there.
