NFL moves Super Bowl Media Day to prime time

Media Day during the week leading up to the Super Bowl is always an entertaining side show, and the league wants to make it even more of a big deal starting this season.

During the week leading up to Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium, Media Day will be a prime-time event, starting at 8 p.m. ET and lasting for three hours.

This means we should expect a tremendous boon of viewership flooding the airwaves as hoards of media flock to ask some serious, and some not-so-serious questions of the hot players on each team that makes it to the big game.

Since the Super Bowl is a West Coast affair this season, players won’t be forced to stay up too late to face the throng of media, which is a good thing. As always, we should expect to hear some outlandish questions and answers during the mandatory question/answer sessions.

Depending on your point of view, this shift to prime time will either be an awesome development that will boost interest or it will make an already ridiculous situation more deplorable.
