Sports can often be an escape for many from the realities of life. We were all reminded about the delicacy of life on Sunday morning when NBA legend Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash.

As news spread about the tragic passing of one of the NBA’s greatest and tributes from across the NBA world poured in, the NFL made sure to honor Bryant’s tragic loss.

As an image of Bryant was displayed on the scoreboard in Orlando at the Pro Bowl, a moment of silence was held. After a moment to honor him, the stadium erupted with chants to honor Bryant’s legacy.

News quickly spread across the stadium and more players heard of Bryant’s heartbreaking death. When New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees was asked about his memories of Bryant, he captured everything that made Bryant great.

Our condolences and prayers go out to the friends and family of those killed in the crash.
