NFL experiences first no-arrest month in six years

Now that NFL players are back on the field, they don’t have as much time to get into trouble as they do during the offseason. That said, the month of September brought with it something the league hasn’t experienced in six years: Nobody was arrested.

This breath of fresh air comes to us by way of Mike Rosenberg of the San Jose Mercury News.

The NFL has seemingly been fraught with bad arrests the past couple of years. High-profile players like Aldon Smith, Adrian Peterson, Sheldon Richardson, Greg Hardy and others have been making trouble for themselves and their respective franchises with various off-field troubles.

It’s nice to see a big fat zero on the scorecard, especially when it always seems negativity dominates the headlines.

This is a good indicator that the good guys far outweigh the bad apples in a league that features nearly 2,000 players between active, inactive and practice-team players at any give time.
