On Tuesday, news broke that talented former Florida receiver Antonio Callaway had tested positive for marijuana during his medical at the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this year.

On Wednesday, he fessed up to the report, admitting he smoked weed weeks before the combine and took responsibility for his action. He also said he spoke with Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown, noting, “There is too much opportunity to be messing up,” per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

Callaway is a risky prospect who has a ton of natural talent. During his tenure at Florida, he hauled in 89 receptions for 1,399 yards and seven touchdowns in his first two seasons.

Unfortunately, other off-field issues forced him to sit out the entire 2017 season. Callaway’s off-field issues in Florida included felony grand theft charges as well as sexual assault allegations.

Needless to say, NFL teams are going to think long and hard about investing a draft pick in this young man.
