In one of the most shocking suspensions to hit the league in years, Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson has been suspended six games for violating the league’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Peterson is set to miss the first six games of the 2019 season after he tested positive for PEDs.
The All-Pro cornerback, who had reportedly been disgruntled with the organization recently, is coming off his eighth consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl.
This is a massive blow for the Cardinals in an offseason where so much has been going right with signs of a turnaround in the near future. Now a defense that already carried questions will be without its best cornerback for nearly half the season.
