Netflix announces three-part docuseries on Aaron Hernandez

The story of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez’s rise to stardom and descent into infamy was one of the biggest of the decade. Now, it will all be captured in a new Netflix docuseries coming in January.

Netflix announced its three-part original series “Killer Inside: The mind of Aaron Hernandez” will air on Jan. 15 next year, with the release of the trailer for the must-see documentary.

Directed by Geno McDermott and produced by Terry Leonard, the episodes will capture Hernandez’s rise from living in Bristol, Connecticut and becoming an NFL star to becoming a convicted killed with an even darker past than anyone realized.

Hernandez, who was convicted for the murder of Odin Lloyd, was also charged and found not guilty for a double murder in 2012. He died by suicide in 2017.

The tragic story will all be captured by Netflix and take everyone deep inside the events that led to and followed one of the most unthinkable and disturbing stories in the history sports.

As streaming service gain popularity, with an incredible amount of entertainment options now available, Netflix will look to deliver on its hit “Making a Murderer” with another dark, captivating series.
