Mexico City will host a regular-season NBA game on Dec. 17 between the Miami Heat and San Antonio Spurs.

The NBA has staged 30 games in Mexico and returns to the capital for the first time since 2019 at Arena CDMX for the scheduled Saturday game.

The Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns 121-119 in the 2019 game. Miami is back in Mexico City for the second time, having defeated the Brooklyn Nets in 2017.

The matchup marks the 30th anniversary of the league’s first game in Mexico. The Houston Rockets and Dallas Mavericks played a preseason game at Mexico’s Palacio de los Deportes in October 1992.
