It seems that Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Shai Gilgeous-Alexander doesn’t have a good sense of humor and is getting bothered by the jokes about his flopping on social media.
The Thunder and San Antonio Spurs have engaged in what is considered the best series of the 2026 NBA Playoffs. The pair of Western Conference powerhouses with the best records in the NBA have gone to war in what has been a showcase of the best of basketball and the worst.
While stars like Victor Wembanyama and Gilgeous-Alexander have shown why they are elite talents, the series has also put an even bigger spotlight on a storyline that has been growing all season. And that is the perception of many NBA fans that Gilgeous-Alexander is a “foul merchant” who goes to absurd lengths to get calls from referees.
It has led to a huge amount of posts on social media mocking SGA, especially during the playoffs. It has also led to the creation of a parody board game from Underdog Sports called Unethical Hoops. With the Thunder superstar on the cover in cartoon form.
SGA’s lawyers send legal warning over Unethical Hoops game
The game is similar to Operation, and the goal is to steal the ball from Gilgeous-Alexander before you get called for a foul. It’s pretty funny, but not to the two-time NBA MVP.
The New York Post reports that SGA’s lawyers sent a legal warning to the game developer demanding they stop using his name and likeness for the 100 versions being used in a giveaway contest.
Gilgeous-Alexander’s attorneys requested Underdog Sports “permanently cease and desist from any and all use of Mr. Gilgeous-Alexander’s [name, image and likeness] in any and all media, including but not limited to your website, apps, social media accounts, digital marketing and advertisements, promotional emails, push notifications, affiliate or influencer placements, and any physical goods including but not limited to the board game advertised on the Unethical Hoops Website.”
As of Thursday, the game is still on the Underdog Sports website.
