DeMarcus Cousins injury

The Los Angeles Lakers might have suffered an enormous blow for the 2019-’20 season after All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins reportedly suffered a torn ACL during a workout in Las Vegas, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported early Thursday morning that Cousins suffered a knee injury during a workout on Monday and was scheduled to undergo tests in Los Angeles today.

Now it appears he has suffered another devastating leg injury just a few years after he tore his Achilles tendon during the 2017-’18 season with the New Orleans Pelicans then tearing his quad with the Golden State Warriors.

After drawing little interest as a free agent this offseason, Cousins signed a one-year deal with Los Angeles in hopes of competing for a championship and rebuilding his value.

Now the four-time All-Star might find himself sidelined by another season-ending injury in a career that has been derailed by leg injuries in recent years.
