Just hours before the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers take to the floor for a pivotal Game 3 in their playoff series, some new injury updates have emerged on several key players.
The Sixers head into a must-win situation on Friday night as they look to avoid falling into a 3-0 hole against the Knicks. If they are to turn things around and try to even the series this weekend, they need to get seven-time All-Star Joel Embiid back on the court for Game 3.
The one-time NBA MVP missed Game 2 due to hip and ankle issues. According to SNY’s Ian Begley, Embiid remains listed as questionable for tonight’s game that tips off at 7:00 PM ET. However, the Knicks have been dealing with far more health issues in recent days.
Hart and Robinson probable for Knicks vs. 76ers Game 3

One of the biggest stories in New York is the availability of forward OG Anunoby. He came up lame in the final minutes of Wednesday’s game, went to the locker room, and never returned. He was diagnosed with a hamstring strain, and reports claimed the Knicks were optimistic about him playing in Game 3 or 4.
Begley reports he is still listed as questionable for tonight. It likely means he will sit for Game 3, which many expected.
Along with Embiid, skilled Knicks center Mitchell Robinson was unavailable on Wednesday due to an illness. However, Begley adds that he remains on course to return in Game 3 and is still listed as probable on the latest injury report.
During Wednesday’s game, forward Josh Hart banged his thumb on a Sixers player while going after a rebound and was in serious pain. That is saying something for a tough and durable player like Hart. But according to X account New York Basketball, the core member of the roster is listed as probable for this evening’s matchup in Philly.
