Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo has accomplished an NBA feat that no one could have expected on Tuesday, March 10, 2026. Adebayo scored 83 points against the Washington Wizards, passing the late great Kobe Bryant for the second-most points scored in a single game in NBA history.

Adebayo ended the game with 83 points, nine rebounds, and three assists, while shooting 20-for-43 from the floor. The 28-year-old center also shot seven-of-22 from the three-point line and 36-of-43 from the free-throw line. It is the second-greatest performance in NBA history, only behind Wilt Chamberlain’s 100-point game in 1962.

For 20 years, Bryant sat second in NBA history with 81 points, and there were some that thought it would never be passed. Many believe that Chamberlain’s 100-point game is untouchable. While that might be the case, Adebayo’s 83-point game is undoubtedly the best NBA perfomance on live TV in history.

The NBA world was in pure shock and it is not hard to blame them. As expected, several NBA players had to post their reaction over Adebayo scoring 81 points. Here are some of the best reactions of Adebayo’s 83-point game from social media!
