The NBA trade deadline is nine days away, and the Antetokounmpo injury will likely make it an even less active period across the league. However, that might not stop the Chicago Bulls from making a deal in a matter of weeks based on the latest NBA rumors.
According to NBA insider Marc Stein, the Bulls are “strongly expected” to make a move in the coming days involving either guard Coby White or Ayo Dosunmu. However, long-time center Nicola Vucevic is expected to remain with the club past the NBA trade deadline and then depart this summer as a free agent.

- Coby White stats (ESPN): 19 PPG, 4.7 APG, 3.5 RPG, 45.7% FG, 37% 3PT
White is the Bulls’ leading scorer this season, largely replicating his efficiency from last season. However, the 25-year-old guard’s shooting from the free-throw line has dropped—90.2 percent to 79.7 percent—and his Win Shares per 48 Minutes has also dropped (0.106 to 0.052) to its lowest mark since his sophomore season.
He’s also entering the last year of his contract, making $12.866 million this season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in the summer.
- Ayo Dosunmu stats (ESPN): 14.5 PPG, 3.4 APG, 2.7 RPG, 51.2% FG, 45.3% 3PT
For Chicago, the decision to trade either of the two guards would also signal a potential long-term commitment to the one they keep. Dosunmu, age 26, is also in the final year of his contract with a $7.518 million salary this season.
Comparing the two Bulls guards, White is averaging 23.7 points, 5.9 assists and 4.4 rebounds per 36 minutes, while Dosunmu has averaged 20.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists per 36 minutes. Also of note, Dosunmu has a much higher Win Shares per 48 Minutes (0.123) than White this season.
