June 19, 2016, will forever be etched into history for the Cleveland Cavaliers. It was the day where they won their first NBA title in franchise history. What was memorable about that Cavaliers NBA Championship is that they trailed 3-1 in the series against the Golden State Warriors and came back to win. Golden State that season had a 73-9 record during the regular season.

Cleveland had to win twice on the road to win the series against the Warriors. A lot of people will remember Game 7 because LeBron James had the chase down block on Andre Iguodala and it kept the game tied at 89. Kyrie Irving hit the game-winning three-point shot and Cleveland won that game by a final score of 93-89. Kevin Love also had a key defensive stop on Steph Curry in the fourth quarter, and J.R. Smith also played a big role in that Game 7 as well. Tristan Thompson was also in the Cavaliers starting lineup for head coach Tyronn Lue.

There are a lot of Cavaliers fans who are celebrating on Twitter on Friday the 10-year anniversary of winning the championship. One fan on Twitter said, “Happy Cavs championship 10 year anniversary” There will be a lot of Cleveland fans who will no doubt remember this day forever.

Another Cleveland fan said on Twitter, “On this day 10 years ago, the Cleveland Cavaliers became Champions! Cavs became the first team to complete a 3-1 comeback in NBA Finals history! The block, the shot, and the championship will always be one of the best moments in my life so today we celebrate!” What was amazing about this comeback is that the Cavaliers are still the only team in NBA history to come back and win the finals while down 3-1 in the series.

One other Cavaliers fan said on Twitter, “10 YEARS AGO TODAY…The BLOCK. The SHOT. The MOMENT. LeBron James delivered on his promise of bringing the Cavs to the promised land” This was the second stint for LeBron in Cleveland at the time. That was his third NBA title in five seasons. James was the Finals MVP when the Cavaliers won it all. Irving also had a great series for Cleveland, and some thought he could have won Finals MVP. This was one of the best NBA teams over the last decade, however.
