A very awkward video shows Josh Hart making things hilariously weird for bestie Jalen Brunson as the New York Knicks celebrated winning the 2025 Emirates NBA Cup.

On Tuesday night, after 50 years of waiting, the Knicks finally brought a championship back to New York. While it wasn’t following an NBA Finals victory, the team and New Yorkers will still take a lot of joy in their NBA Cup Final win over the San Antonio Spurs.

During the run to their first final and cup win, the Knicks scored wins over the Milwaukee Bucks, Miami Heat, Toronto Raptors, a pair of wins over the Orlando Magic, and lastly against a fast-rising and talented Spurs team. While the tourney win was a total team effort, especially in the Final, they couldn’t have done it without NBA Cup MVP, Jalen Brunson.

The face of the franchise scored 30 or more in three of their final four tournament games, including dropping 40 against the Magic. He earned their celebration in Las Vegas on Tuesday night. Unfortunately, while helping to hoist their new trophy, long-time pal Josh Hart made things awkward.

Josh Hart Annoys Jalen Brunson with Weird Butt Grope?

Video made its way online last night of the Knicks hoisting the NBA Cup Trophy as confetti exploded into the air behind them. A totally normal thing after a tournament victory. However, one specific video on social media focused on the moment when Brunson helped Karl-Anthony Towns lift the trophy and quickly turned around in annoyance or real anger.

In the video, it seems that when Brunson reached up, Hart was behind him and did something around the guard’s butt area that clearly annoyed him. Towns is watching it all, and it gets a chuckle out of him. It looks like Hart might have gone in and got a squeeze on his friend, but that is clearly just speculation. Either way, the two-time All-Star didn’t like it.

Brunson and Hart have been good friends since their days together at Villanova, and also host The Roomates Show podcast.
