New Orleans Pelicans forward Derrick Favors was simply looking to catch a ride in the Bayou recently.
Talking with an Uber driver (something that’s commonplace), Favors indicated that he was an Atlanta Falcons fan. Apparently the driver did not take this anecdote in the best possible way. It led to said driver literally kicking Favors out of the car.
Talk about taking your fandom to the next level. Said Uber driver is going to get a bad rating for that ride. He/she will now have to be forced to deal with riders that likely aren’t as respectful as Mr. Favors.
Though, none of this should come as a surprise. There’s a huge rivalry between the Saints and Falcons. Their fans absolutely hate one another. This is the latest example of that.
A new member of the Pelicans, Favors might want to keep his fandom on the down low when hanging on Bourbon Street. That’s for sure.
