New Los Angeles Lakers big man and former All-Star DeMarcus Cousins can’t catch a break.
It was just a couple short years ago that Cousins was seemingly destined for the Hall of Fame. A freak Achilles injury during the 2017-18 season with the New Orleans Pelicans derailed his once-promising career.
After spending another injury-plagued season with the Golden State Warriors in 2018-19, Cousins had to settle for a small one-year deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Just over a month after signing said deal, Cousins is dealing with another major injury. Reports on Thursday indicated that the center suffered a torn ACL in workouts in Las Vegas.
Needless to say, this latest injury could threaten Cousins’ career. NBA players also reacted to the news in an somber manner while wishing Boogie the best.
