It did not take the NBA too long to conduct its investigation pertaining to Anthony Davis and the All-Star’s request of a trade from the New Orleans Pelicans.
One day after Davis’ request became public record, the Association has slapped him with a $50,000 fine.

This certainly doesn’t amount to a slap on the wrist. Immediately after the Pelicans released a statement regarding Davis’ trade request, the NBA noted that it was conducting an investigation. Fining Davis was one of the possibilities.
The NBA’s reasoning is that Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, violated the terms of the collective bargaining agreement by requesting a trade.
We’re sure Davis and his representatives will have something to say before forking over this $50,000 fine to the NBA.
