The NBA 2K League will return to Washington, D.C., for the 2024 season, the league announced Thursday.

The esports action begins on Feb. 28 and runs through June 29.

The league’s 3v3 and 5v5 competition consists of a combination of remote and in-person game play. The latter will be held at the District E Powered by Ticketmaster theater, in partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment.

“We’re excited to bring the 2024 NBA 2K League season back to Washington, D.C., which was such a fantastic hub for us last season,” said NBA 2K League CEO Andrew Perlmutter. “I’m looking forward to bringing another season of top-tier entertainment to fans in our nation’s capital, and to working closely with the Leonsis family and Monumental Sports & Entertainment, who are really wonderful hosts and partners.”

The 2023 season also took place at District E. In 2022, the in-person games were held in Indianapolis.

The defending NBA 2K League champions are Warriors Gaming Squad (5v5) and DUX Infinitos (3v3).
