NASCAR Betting Guide: 4 Picks This Week

Ryan Preece – Top-10 Finish (+135)

While Brad Keselowski stole the show at Darlington, teammate Ryan Preece is having himself a nice run as of late. In the last four races on ovals, Preece boasts an excellent 11.5 average finishing position. He now heads to one of his best tracks, where he ranks ninth in average finishing position (11.8) among active drivers since 2023. He finished in the top 10 in both races at Martinsville last season in his first year with RFK, overcoming a starting position of 18th or worse each time. As long as he doesn’t get caught up in a wreck, Preece will be in the top 10 on Sunday.

Brad Keselowski – Top-5 Finish (+500)

Needless to say, we’re expecting it to be a great weekend for RFK Racing. As Brad Keselowski gets further removed from surgery to repair his freak leg injury, his average finishing positions have improved. He won both stages at Darlington, finishing second on the day, and now hits a track where he boasts 11 career top-five finishes in 32 races at Martinsville. We know he hasn’t fared nearly as well since leaving Team Penske and driving the No. 6 for RFK, but we do think he carries over the momentum from this past weekend with a top-five finish.

Denny Hamlin – Top-3 Finish (+150)

There’s a real temptation to pick Denny Hamlin to win the Cook Out 400, given Toyota cars have dominated this season. We do, however, want to play it a bit safe and just bet on a top-3 finish. Hamlin won the spring race at Martinsville last season and the No. 11 car has qualified eighth or better in the last two spring races here. If he qualifies third or better on Saturday, we’d pick him to win on Sunday.

Christopher Bell – Race Winner (+800)

We’re going to write off what happened this past Sunday at Darlington, where the No. 20 car qualified 22nd and finished the day in 19th place. Christopher Bell finished fourth or better at COTA, Phoenix and Las Vegas in the three weeks prior. This is also a track that Bell has won at before (October 2022) and he finished second behind teammate Denny Hamlin last spring at Martinsville after winning the pole.
