Brennan Poole will race full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Alpha Prime Racing in 2024.
This is the first full-time season for Poole, who was once a heralded but underfunded top prospect, since 2017. He will be paired with Ryan Ellis, who is also full-time, for the first two-driver full-time effort in team history for owners Tommy Joe Martins and Caesar Bacarella.
“We just landed one of the best drivers in the series,” Martins said. “It’s just a really exciting day for our company. It’s the first time we’ve had two full time drivers, and to have them be the quality of Brennan and Ryan… both Caesar and myself are over the moon. He’s exactly what our team needed.”
Poole is able to go full-time thanks to an agreement with Finance Pro Plus.
He has 204 starts across all three national tours, with 124 coming in the Xfinity Series. He raced full-time in 2016 and 2017 with Chip Ganassi Racing and made the playoffs each time. He was sixth in points back in 2017.
Poole has become a journeyman in recent season, with 35 Cup Series starts in 2020 for Rick Ware Racing and part-time starts in the other divisions for a variety of teams. He made 31 starts in Xfinity for JD Racing last season with a best finish of fifth at Talladega.
