At an event in New York City, Mr. T reminisced about his hero, Muhammad Ali, in an interview with TMZ.

The one-time bodyguard of the champ, Mr. T revealed Ali would go into rough neighborhoods when he was still boxing to break up arguments and violent crimes.

Mr. T also talked about how Ali taught him to treat his body like a temple and how he used to write essays about his hero.

Additionally, Mr. T credits Ali for teaching him to be different, but good. He wasn’t always a famous persona in Hollywood, but after developing his style and look, he became a star. And apparently, he wouldn’t have made it without the lessons he learned from the greatest fighter of all time.
