Mo Bamba estimated to have 200 people with him at NBA Draft

Mo Bamba

New York native Mo Bamba is, not surprisingly, a very hot item this fine Thursday ahead of the 2018 NBA Draft, which is being held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Sean Deveney of Sporting News tweeted a couple hours ahead of the draft that “It’s estimated he will have 200 people at the Barclays Center tonight.”

He went on to say that, while the NBA doesn’t keep stats on this, it’s likely the most for one player in draft history.

According to NBA.com’s Consensus Mock Draft, Bamba is most commonly being pegged to be selected by the Dallas Mavericks at No. 5 overall.

That said, Mavericks are rumored to be potentially working on a deal with the Atlanta Hawks that would end up with Luka Doncic playing in Dallas next year.

Obviously there’s a lot that could happen atop the draft, but it’s clear that Bamba is expected to be selected pretty early.

When that happens, the stadium will certainly erupt with celebration for this local boy making it big.
