Austin FC D Zan Kolmanic to have season-ending ACL surgery

Austin FC defender Zan Kolmanic will undergo season-ending surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee, the team announced Thursday.

Team orthopedist Dr. Doug Elenz will perform the procedure on Kolmanic, who sustained the injury during a training session.

Kolmanic, 23, had yet to record a goal or an assist in six MLS matches (all starts) this season. He has six assists in 57 career MLS matches (41 starts) with Austin FC since joining the team in 2021.
