Yoan Moncada forced to leave game after taking Chris Sale slider to the knee

Yoan Moncada, White Sox

Early in Wednesday’s game against the Boston Red Sox, Chicago White Sox star Yoan Moncada took a Chris Sale slider to the right knee and was forced to exit.

Trainers immediately came out to check on Moncada, who attempted to stay in the game.

However, just a short while later in the first inning, he had to leave because he just couldn’t run after Jose Abreu hit a double.

Hopefully this injury is just minor. Moncada has been rock solid for the White Sox this year, batting .299 with 13 home runs and 42 RBI.
