The Minnesota Twins agreed to a one-year major league contract with infielder Donovan Solano on Tuesday, multiple outlets reported, with the deal pending a physical.

Solano, 35, is a nine-year major league veteran who batted .284 with a .724 OPS, four home runs and 24 RBIs in 80 games last season for the Cincinnati Reds.

A .278 career hitter with a .701 OPS, Solano also has 27 home runs and 206 RBIs in 686 games for the Miami Marlins (2012-15), New York Yankees (2016), San Francisco Giants (2019-21) and Reds.

Primarily a second baseman, Solano does have experience at all four infield positions and has played a handful of games in the outfield.
