The firesale might be coming to a culmination here soon, but it’s apparent that part owner Derek Jeter and the new brass in Miami are remaining open for business
Fresh off dealing former All-Star Dee Gordon to the Mariners and reigning NL MVP Giancarlo Stanton to the Yankees, the Marlins are listening to offers for at least one other high-profile player.
According to this one report, Miami is having dialogue with other teams about two-time All-Star outfielder Marcell Ozuna.

As the report notes, the St. Louis Cardinals are interested in the 27-year-old power hitter. St. Louis missed out on Stanton after he invoked his no-trade clause.
The Cardinals could have an upper-hand in terms of talks with the Marlins given that they had already agreed to a compensation package for Stanton prior to the new Yankee deciding he didn’t want to play in St. Louis.
Looking for a power bat themselves, the Oakland Athletics have also been bandied about as a potential destination for Ozuna.
Not set to become a free agent until 2020, Ozuna will be a highly sought after figure on the trade block. He’s coming off a career-best 2017 campaign that saw him hit .312 with 37 homers and 124 RBI.
