The best time of the MLB offseason is just around the corner. From December 8 to 10, the baseball world will congregate in Florida for the MLB Winter Meetings, which typically result in a flurry of signings across the league. However, how active will the Winter Meetings be in 2025?
According to MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand, the Winter Meetings are expected to be “pretty active” this year. As of now, a few big players, such as Dylan Cease (Toronto) and Devin Williams (New York Mets), are off the board, but the Winter Meetings should help kickstart the activity.
There will be several players to watch during the MLB Winter Meetings, such as Kyle Tucker, Kyle Schwarber, Pete Alonso, Alex Bregman, and more. Not all of the big-time players will sign in the next week, but the rumors will also start to pick up steam moving forward.
The pitching market has been the most active to this point, and it is not expected to slow down. Feinsand believes that Michael King and Ranger Suarez could be the next big names off the board. In a few days, the Winter Meetings will be underway, and the hot stove will be scorching.
