Legendary WWE play-by-play man Michael Cole is such a huge New York Mets fan, he actually watches their games while calling the action during Monday Night Raw.

Over the last 20 years, Cole has solidified his place as one of the best play-by-play announcers professional wrestling has ever had. As he has lent his voice to some iconic WWE moments in this century. However, during broadcasts of WWE shows and events, he has not hidden his love for his favorite New York sports teams.

One of those being the Mets. And during a recent interview on the “Meet at the Apple” podcast, the Syracuse, NY native dropped a surprising nugget of information about his deep devotion to the Amazin’s.

Michael Cole watches every single New York Mets game each season

“Tonight, during Monday Night Raw, I’ll have my phone on the desk. And I’ll have the game on with the sound down, glancing over, and you’ll see me sometimes pumping my fist when [Juan] Soto hits a home run or something,” Cole admitted. “And I’m doing that while I’m on the air.”

It’s pretty amazing that he can follow the game while busy calling close to three hours of pro wrestling action on Monday Night Raw. However, that might be the easy part. The future WWE Hall of Famer revealed his love of baseball actually has some at work calling him crazy for how much Mets content he consumes.

“People think I am nuts that I sit there and watch nine innings of baseball every single night,” he said. “They think I’m crazy. Pat [McAfee] thinks I’m insane. That I watch every inning of the Mets game. Whether they’re good or bad, every game of the year… Baseball is my first love.”
