Leave it to the New York Yankees to send a guy hitting a crisp .239 to The Tonight Show to run his mouth about winning it all.

On Monday night, Jazz Chisholm sat down on Jimmy Fallon’s couch, flashed a multi-million dollar smile, and declared — with zero hesitation, mind you — that the Bronx Bombers were winning the 2026 World Series.

“I mean, to win a World Series. We’re in New York! Come on, bud,” Chisholm joked.

The host wondered if the Yankees would actually take home the championship this year, which would be the first time in 17 years. Seems hard to believe, right? The mythical New York Yankees haven’t won a World Series in almost two decades.

But Chisholm, never lacking in confidence, is acting like he has any tangible standing on the matter.

Jazz replied, “Oh, for sure. We’re gonna do it. For sure.”

Tom Hamilton Drops Nuclear Burn on Jazz Chisholm’s Fallon World Series Guarantee

In Cleveland, longtime Guardians voice Tom Hamilton — a man who’s been calling games since the dawn of time — wasn’t about to let that one slide. While broadcasting the team’s 9-4 beatdown of the Yankees, Hamilton unloaded one of the cleanest burns you’ll hear all season.

“He said that last night on the Jimmy Fallon Show,” Hamilton joked, referring to the World Series prediction. “Pretty amazing that he got on the Fallon Show batting .239.”

Oof. Murder, party of one.

Hamilton didn’t just poke the bear — he drop-kicked it into Lake Erie. Chisholm went 1-for-4 with a couple of punchouts in the game, adding the perfect punchline to the joke. Although when you think about it, 1-for-4 actually raised his batting average.

From 50-50 Spring Prediction to .239 Reality: Can Jazz Back Up the Swagger?

Look, Jazz has always been that guy who talks a big game — remember the 50-50 prediction in spring training that’s currently on life support? Yeah, this clown did, in fact, predict that he’d join Shohei Ohtani in the 50-50 club.

Through 60 games this season, Jazz has 14 stolen bases and 6 home runs. He’d have to hit better than one home run every three games for the rest of the season to make his prediction a reality.

If Chisholm wants the last laugh, he’d better start mashing — or maybe just start with getting that batting average out of the 200s before October talk becomes actual October baseball.

The Yanks are currently two games better than the Guardians in the standings, though they play in separate divisions. The Yankees have the flash and playoff projection edge right now, while Cleveland grinds out wins in a more forgiving division.

One team, though, is being a little more humble about their chances come October.
