Chicago Cubs catcher Willson Contreras — who’s been one of baseball’s best hitters in the second half — left early in Wednesday’s game against the San Francisco Giants.

The Cubs are officially calling it a “right leg injury.”

Contreras was clearly grabbing at his hamstring area as he was running down the first base line.

He was eventually helped off of the field.

Contreras has been on fire since the All-Star Break, hitting 10 of his 21 home runs with a .311 batting average.
