Austin Riley had three hits, including a home run, and a pair of RBIs Friday night for the visiting Atlanta Braves, who rolled to a 7-0 win over the New York Mets in the opener of a four-game series.

The Braves improved to 4-4 on a season-long 11-game road trip. The Mets fell to 2-8 this month.

Eddie Rosario had two hits and three RBIs for the Braves, who received a hit from every starter except Ronald Acuna Jr. and Orlando Arcia. Ozzie Albies had an RBI single while Travis d’Arnaud finished with two hits.

Charlie Morton (11-10) earned the win after allowing three hits and walking a career-high seven while striking out four over five innings.

Mark Vientos had two singles for the Mets, who left 14 runners on base.

Tylor Megill (6-6) took the loss after allowing six runs (five earned) on nine hits and one walk while striking out three over 5 1/3 innings.

The Mets stranded two runners against Morton in each of the first three innings before the Braves, who didn’t get a runner beyond first against Megill in that span, scored three times in the fourth.

With one out, Riley doubled but had to stay at second when Matt Olson blooped a single to left. After d’Arnaud flew out, Marcell Ozuna reached on an infield single that stayed just fair up the third base line. Rosario followed with a two-run single and Ozuna scored when center fielder Brandon Nimmo misplayed the ball trying to field it.

Michael Harris II led off the fifth with a single and took second on a passed ball before Acuna Jr. walked. Harris II scored on a single by Albies and Acuna Jr., who took third on Albies’ hit, scored on Riley’s sacrifice fly.

d’Arnaud led off the sixth with a single and scored when Rosario chased Megill with a one-out double. Riley homered with two outs in the seventh off Jimmy Yacabonis.
