We’re at the halfway point of the 2025 MLB season and some players are standing out as the best in the game. These 20 stars are on another level. If the All-MLB Team voting started today many of these names would be near the top:
20. Ketel Marte (Diamondbacks)

Ketel Marte is one of the best second basemen this year. He’s hitting about .297 with 12 home runs and an OPS over .980. He’s a strong All-MLB candidate.
19. Jeremy Peña (Houston Astros)

In 2025, Jeremy Pea is doing wonders with the Houston Astros. On June 15th he has a .328 batting average, 9 home runs, 34 RBI and an OPS of .871. He’s good at the plate and in the field making a strong case for the All-MLB Team.
18. José Ramírez (Guardians)

José Ramírez is still the WAR and OPS leader among third basemen (.942). He’s hitting .329 with 13 HR. On May 1st he became the first 3B with 250 home runs and 250 steals. Quiet an achievement.
17. Jonathan Aranda (Tampa Bay Rays)

Jonathan Aranda is having a breakout season. As of June 15th he’s hitting .316 with 8 HR, 37 RBI and an OPS of .893. Aranda’s ability to get on base and drive in runs has made him one of the most efficient hitters.
16. Juan Soto (New York Mets)

Juan Soto is a key bat for the Mets this year. He’s hitting around .249 with 13 HR and leads the team in on-base percentage. His sharp eye and power make him one of the toughest to face in the National League.
15. Kyle Schwarber (Philadelphia Phillies)

Kyle Schwarber is once again among the league leaders in home runs. As of June 15th he has 22 HR, 50 RBI and an OPS of .915 ranking him top 10 in both HR and OPS. His power has been consistent and he’s still a key to the team’s offense.
14. Pete Alonso (New York Mets)

Pete Alonso has taken it to “another level” says David Stearns. As of June 15th he’s hitting .297 with 17 HR, 63 RBI (leads the majors) and an OPS of .974. He’s a top 10 hitter in the league and his power and run production keep him on the All-MLB team.
13. Bobby Witt Jr. (Kansas City Royals)

Bobby Witt Jr. is living up to his superstar status. By June 15th he’s hitting about .276 with 8 HR, 37 RBI and 21 SB in 61 games. He’s on pace for another 30–30 season and is for sure an All-MLB candidate.
12. Trea Turner (Philadelphia Phillies)

Trea Turner is the NL hits leader, hitting .299 with 7 HR, 31 RBI and 19 SB. He’s one of the best shortstops in baseball with his speed and contact hitting.
11. Kodai Senga (New York Mets)

Kodai Senga has been among the best pitchers in the National League this year. Through mid-June he has a 1.47 ERA and a 7–3 record. His splitter is keeping hitters guessing and he’s a Cy Young candidate. Right now he’s on the injured list but should be back soon.
10. Freddie Freeman (Los Angeles Dodgers)

Freddie Freeman has been battling a minor quad issue but has been a key for the Dodgers offense.He is batting .338, with .975 OPS and is one of the top hitters in the league. He’s a no-brainer for the All-MLB team.
9. Elly De La Cruz (Cincinnati Reds)

Elly De La Cruz is one of the most fun-to-watch players in baseball. In 300 games he’s had over 115 extra-base hits and 115 stolen bases. As of mid-June he’s hitting around .267 with 14 home runs and 20 steals. He’s the real deal on both sides of the ball.
8. Pete Crow-Armstrong (Chicago Cubs)

Pete Crow-Armstrong is one of the most exciting all-around players in the NL. Through mid-June he’s hitting roughly .272 with 18 home runs, 57 RBI, 21 stolen bases and is on pace for a 40/40 season. His defense in center field is Top-3 in the outfield.
7. Paul Skenes (Pittsburgh Pirates)

Rookie Paul Skenes has made an impact right away with a 1.78 ERA and strong strikeout numbers. He’s calm, cool and climbing the Cy Young conversation fast even with few wins.
6. Garrett Crochet (Boston Red Sox)

Garrett Crochet has already proven himself to be one of the best MLB pitchers this year. He has 117 strikeouts and a 2.24 ERA. He’s striking out batters and getting Cy Young talk early.
5. Hunter Brown (Houston Astros)

Hunter Brown has been the top pitcher in the AL this year. He has a 1.88 ERA with an 8–3 record, 105 strikeouts and a 0.93 WHIP in 86 innings. He’s striking out (7 games with 9 or more) and climbing the AL Cy Young ladder and All-MLB Team fast.
4. Max Fried (New York Yankees)

Max Fried has been a steady presence in the Yankees’ rotation this year. He’s 9- 1 with a 1.84 ERA and a 0.93 WHIP. His ERA is the best after 14 starts in the Yankees’ organizational history since Phil Niekro in 1984.
3. Cal Raleigh (Seattle Mariners)

Cal Raleigh is on fire as a catcher this year. He leads all of MLB with 26 HR and has a strong .998 OPS. He’s a top candidate for both All-MLB and MVP consideration.
2. Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers)

Shohei Ohtani is crushing it for the Dodgers. Hitting .290 with 25 HR and 41 RBIs and 1.023 OPS. He just recently hit two HRs against the Giants, bringing his career total to 250.
1. Aaron Judge (New York Yankees)

Aaron Judge is having an incredible season. By mid June he’s batting .390, with 26 home runs and 60 RBI, and in the league at OPS and WAR. Judge may be on the way to a potential Triple Crown, which last happened in 2012.
