MLB super agent rips league for divulging information about contract offers

Tuesday featured a war of words between executive director to the players union Tony Clark and MLB. In its statement, MLB revealed that many players remain unsigned despite “substantial offers, some in nine figures.” Super agent Scott Boras took exception to that particular statement.

On Tuesday, another agent revealed that he didn’t think many (if any) more big names would sign until March.

Certainly, this all points to a growing disconnect between the players and the league. Even if a work stoppage during spring training will not happen, this kind of distance definitely hints at some uneasy labor peace between the two sides in the coming years.
