MLB releases TV schedule for potential Monday Tiebreaker Games

The race for playoff spots in the National League are coming down to the final days, and with the chance for tiebreaker games, MLB released its potential schedule for all tiebreaker games.

In the event where the N.L. needs tiebreaker games, all games will be played on Monday. MLB also announced all games would be broadcasted exclusively on ESPN.

In the event of a tiebreaker for the N.L. Central, the Milwaukee Brewers would play against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. If the N.L. Central is already decided, with the second-place team automatically grabbing the top wild-card spot, then there could either be an N.L. West tiebreaker or a tiebreaker for the second wild-card spot.

In the event of a two-game scenario on Monday, the Brewers and Cubs would face each other at 1:05 p.m. EST. The Colorado Rockies or Los Angeles Dodgers would either face each other for the N.L. West title at 4:09 p.m. EST or the team that finished second in the division would face the St. Louis Cardinals if both teams tied in the standings.

Currently, the Rockies hold a one-game edge over the Dodgers in the N.L. West and a 2.5 game advantage for the final wild-card spot over the Cardinals. If Colorado wins on Friday against the Washington Nationals, it would automatically earn a playoff spot.

The Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves and Chicago Cubs have already secured spots in the postseason.
