Minnesota Vikings Release Ben Tate

After less than a month with the Minnesota Vikings, running back Ben Tate has reportedly been released on Tuesday.

Tate’s time as a member of the Vikings certainly didn’t last very long. It was just four weeks ago that the Minnesota Vikings acquired him from the waivers when the Cleveland Browns released him. Tate has been even more underwhelming since playing with the Vikings than he was when with Cleveland, averaging just 2.9 yards per carry.

At just 26-years-old, Tate’s health has been an issue all season long, which has added to his awful, unproductive year. If the playoff-bound Indianapolis Colts or Arizona Cardinals don’t need Tate, then he’ll likely be heading home early for the holidays in 2015.
