Milwaukee Bucks reveal Giannis Antetokounmpo’s status for Game 3

Facing a pivotal Game 3 with the series tied at one win apiece, the Milwaukee Bucks will be on the road for the first time in the best-of-seven matchup with the Miami Heat on Saturday. After winning Game 2 without superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks proved they were plenty capable, even without their two-time MVP.

But that was at home. Now with a much different environment at the Kaseya Center, the Bucks will once again be relying on a complete team effort, with Antetokounmpo once again ruled out of action for Game 3.

It’s the second game Antetokounmpo has missed after being forced out of action in Game 1 following just 11 minutes of play. Here was the play where the Bucks’ superstar appeared to initially suffer the back injury he’s currently dealing with.

Antetokounmpo appears to be making some progress as he aims to return to the court, having done some individual practice work on Friday. How close he is to rejoining his teammates remains to be seen. Milwaukee’s next game will be on Monday, once again at the Kaseya Center in Miami.
