Mike and Maurkice Pouncey attend funeral of Aaron Hernandez

NFL star offensive linemen Mike Pouncey and Maurkice Pouncey were among those who attended the funeral of Aaron Hernandez Monday.

“Aaron’s close friends, Mike and Maurkice Pouncey, arrived earlier in the day and spent time at the funeral home before the service,” reported TMZ Sports.

The Pouncey brothers had been close friends to Hernandez since their days as teammates of Urban Meyers’ Florida Gators, and they reportedly visted Hernandez often in prison.

Mike Pouncey, who is the starting center for the Miami Dolphins, was spotted using a cane as he recovers from surgery.

Hernandez was found dead in his prison cell last Wednesday.

The Bible verse, John 3:16 was found written on his forehead in red ink, and after an autopsy was performed it was determined his death was a suicide. His family will be having his brain tested to see if the former New England Patriots star suffered from the effects of CTE (Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy).

Hernandez was serving a life sentence for the murder of Odin Lloyd.
