It’s not often that Duke head basketball Mike Krzyzewski gets heated, but when he does he holds nothing back. Such was the case Saturday after the Blue Devils got stunned by St. John’s at Madison Square Garden, losing 81-77.

After praising the Red Storm, Krzyzewski took aim at his own players. He was clearly upset with his team’s effort, calling it disgusting.

That Coach K was upset is hardly surprising. After all, St. John’s came into the game on an 11-game losing streak, whereas Duke came into the game as the No. 4-ranked team in the nation.

The Red Storm at one point outscored Duke 18-2 in the second half and then staved off the Blue Devils as they attempted to come back in the final minutes. It was a thrilling win for them, but Duke should have never allowed them to be in that position to begin with. And Krzyzewski won’t soon let his players forget it.
