Who says the trading card industry is dead? Us children of the 1980s and 1990s still have countless old cards sitting around. Too many to count or go through.

But that might change on the heels of this absolutely ridiculous new piece of information we’re getting relating to a 1997 Michael Jordan basketball card. It’s certainly time for all of us to go through our old cards.

A store on eBay by the name of PWCC just sold a 1997 Precious Metal Gems Michael Jordan Green Card for a whopping $350,000.

“In the world of trading cards, this is a ‘true holy grail’ caliber asset, Brent Huigens, CEO of PWCC said in a news release by eBay, via The Charlotte Observer.

Only 10 of these cards were ever produced at a time when basketball cards themselves were mass produced at a higher clip than at any time before. Normally, this mass production drives down the value of cards. See Major League Baseball and the early 1990s as an example.

Not only is this the most-expensive basketball card ever sold on eBay, it’s the most-expensive Michael Jordan called ever sold.
