WATCH: Michael Conforto exits game after scary collision with Robinson Cano

A scary moment occurred for New York Mets teammates Michael Conforto and Robinson Cano during Thursday’s game with the Washington Nationals.

The two collided on a play in the outfield, with Conforto taking the brunt of it as he ran right into the shoulder of Cano.

That’s just scary looking.

Wallace Matthews, who covered boxing for a number of years, presumed that Conforto was at least momentarily unconscious by the way he fell.

Looking at the video, it certainly didn’t look good.

When Conforto got to his feet, he was asked a number of questions by the trainers and eventually left the game. He’s presumably in the concussion protocol.
